The Mindset to Change Your Life’s Direction, w/ John Brontsema

My whole life was dedicated to baseball from an early time. People say, “Don’t put your identity,” or “You’re not a baseball player. That’s not your identity.” It really is though. While it’s not, it feels like it, because every decision I made, everything I was passionate about was baseball and achieving the next level.

Lessons learned from the (GOAT) Greatest of all Time with the Goat Show Podcast Host Mike Arce.

“If you don’t sacrifice for what you want, then what you want will be the sacrifice.”

Mike Arce (pronounced R-C) is the CEO and Founder of Loud Rumor, a seven-figure advertising agency specializing in the fitness industry. He credits his success to coaching, mentors, and books.

Mike says that his dad inspires him because he has always worked hard. He has made some mistakes, some of which were big, but his heart was always in the right place and he always learns from them. His dad cares about people and is always there for them when needed.

The biggest obstacle that Mike has overcome is being -$30,000 with no job and a baby on the way during the worst time of the economy and now getting to where his business is today.

His advice to people in any career… entrepreneur or not, ad agency or not… if you want more than what you’ve got, then you’ve got to expect many hard days (sometimes in a row for a long time). Most people cannot get to their potential because they always give up when it gets too hard. That is the point where you work harder because once you break through that wall, the competition is way easier as many have given up just like you almost did. Plus, the confidence to breakdown more walls and not give up once you have already done it is at an all-time high.
