Do you have any upcoming events/products launching that you would like to promote?:

The Churchill opening, I did furniture for 2 stores and will be selling product in one shop (Gather)

Hometown, if not Arizona when did you move here? Arizona

What was the first job you ever held?: A was a dishwasher at a breakfast restaurant in Gilbert when I was 14.

Favorite AZ restaurant, venue, or activity and why?:

Any place with chips and guac….it’s a requirement. I don’t think I need to explain why… it’s guac.

Who is someone that has had a major impact in the person you are today?:

Gotta shout out to the parentals, coaches and friends.

What is your most memorable mistake you have made in your business or career?:

I can’t say I’ve had a major memorable mistake that’s really stuck. I’d say the my main thing is to focus on the failures, they lead to more learning opportunities than our successes. I have many small failures on a weekly basis but I don’t have the same failure again because I’ve learned from it.

The biggest obstacle you’ve overcome?:

The biggest obstacle that I face on a regular basis is self-doubt or ego. Creating something from scratch and literally putting blood, sweat and tears into it can be exhausting and rewarding at the same time. We hope people love the piece, we want approval but there is always someone creating something better or faster or cheaper. There is no famine. There is always room for another craftsman or product. Working through these thoughts is always a challenge.

Someone who inspires you and why?:

There is a long list of people that inspire me. Its mainly a list of people that are ultra passionate about a specific field, idea or skill set. My list includes people like Jimmy Diresta, Adam Savage, Anthony Bourdain, and Steve Irwin.

Favorite quote?:

“Common sense is not so common” -unknown

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do?:

Just do it. I struggle with that part, too. You just have to start. You’ll never accomplish anything if you never start trying.

Which social media platform(s) do you want people to reach you at and what is your handle?Instagram: @wrenwoodworks (Isn’t that the only platform?)
