Do you have any upcoming events/products launching that you would like to promote?
We open September 1!
Born and raised in Phoenix area. Grew up in Goodyear/Buckeye area. Currently just moved from the Warehouse Distrcit to Encanto and into a house with my girlfriend. Went to school in Tacoma, WA for 5 years then moved back after.
What was the first job you ever held?
First job I ever held was for my family farm. Duncan Family Farms and I was folding cartons on a cantaloupe harvester when I was 9. Growing up on a farm is the experience itself.
Favorite AZ restaurant, venue, or activity and why?
Restaurant Progress, Breadfruit & Rum Bar and CIBO are a few of my favorite restaurants. I love going to Suns games. Favorite activity is bouncing around Downtown. I love Crescent Ballroom and The Van Buren.
Who is someone that has had a major impact in the person you are today?
My Dad, Arnott Duncan. He is someone I go to for anything, even if I just need a quick pick me up call.
What is your most memorable mistake you have made in your business or career?
Too many to count, honestly. Biggest one was probably not firing someone early enough when it was pretty clear they should have been let go from the start.
The biggest obstacle you’ve overcome:
To be completely honest I don’t know if I have a large obstacle I have had to overcome, or one specific big thing. I think the biggest thing that I have had to overcome is people doubting me, and just being able to believe in myself. Pushing past what would be easy, and more enjoyable short term, for the long term gain.
Someone who inspires you and why?
My father, and add my two brothers. All for different reasons, but I am inspired by all three of them often.
Nothing worth having or doing is easy.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do?
Don’t take no for an answer, and never quit. Just keep pushing through, and keep working toward your goal. You are closer than you think.
