More About Quinn:

“I’ll be speaking at Digital Summit Phoenix February 11-12 on Instagram Story Marketing as well as many other locations around the country. I also just launched a free lesson to help entrepreneurs uncover their purpose:https://quinntempest.com/create-your-purpose

Hometown, if not Arizona when did you move here?

I’m from here! Hated it growing up and couldn’t wait to leave, but so proud to be back here now, working to create a hometown I can be proud of.

What was the first job you ever held? feel free to elaborate on any fun memories or experiences!):

Street peddler of handmade beaded animals to Phoenix youth 🙂

Favorite AZ restaurant, venue, or activity and why?

Anything in Downtown Phoenix! My husband and I are car-free, so we keep it hyper-local. You’ll always find me at Lola Coffee during the day, Cibo for a nice Italian meal, and Crescent Ballroom for a night out.

Who is someone that has had a major impact in the person you are today?

My main yoga teacher, Yogi E and the teachers of Yoga Pura. I went through a yearlong teacher training in 2011 there, and the experience and everything I learned transformed my entire life.

What is the most memorable mistake you have made in your business or career?

I worked myself so hard and so long in my first job in L.A. that I landed in the hospital. While it was the worst experience at the time, it’s been the root of everything I’ve done since.

The biggest obstacle you’ve overcome:

Recovery from my exhaustion and sickness which led me to uncover a deeper purpose for my life and get out of my own way to bring it to life.

Someone who inspires you and why?

Well, I just finished Michelle Obama’s book and wow – what a lady! I also find personal inspiration from Whitney Leigh Morris of The Tiny Canal Cottage. She’s an influencer I follow on Instagram and appreciate her education and awareness-building for small, sustainable living. On a professional level, my clients inspire me every day with their hard work and dedication to creating a purpose-driven business.

Favorite quote?

I’ve had many favorites over the years, but the one that really resonates me right now is from Steve Jobs: “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.”

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do?

Forget the career “path” that is linear. Instead, follow your curiosity wherever it may lead you. It may be a zigzag, but it’s a zigzag YOU can purposefully create. Constantly be open to what your setbacks and successes can teach you, and keep on moving!

Which social media platform(s) do you want people to reach you at and what is your handle?
